2014 – Reflections

Reflections- angell-studio BJD

2014 Has been a wonderful year.

The last few months were a whirlwind of amazing opportunity and insight. I’ve learned so much that I hope to apply in 2015.

I went a writers conference in October (Atlanta Writers Conference) where I met so many wonderful writers as well as agents and editors. The feedback I received on my projects was spot on and sent me into a frenzy of revisions throughout November.

December brought holidays, family, and friends. Much of the my work was on pause while I enjoyed time with loved ones.

I plan to attack 2015 with fervor and use what I’ve learned to enhance my writing.

On the hobby front, I purchased two new dolls in 2014.

A Foodie in France

The Eiffel Tower at Night

Paris, City of Lights, City of Love, City of History, and the City of French Cuisine!

I recently spent a week vacation in Paris, France, and while I climbed all the steps of the Eiffel Tower, heard the bells of Notre Dame blast through my soul amongst the gargoyles, traipsed the bowels of Paris up close and personal with ancient bones in the catacombs, I must say that after coming back home and going through those memorable pictures it is the scenes of food that really stood out.

And so, I realized I’m a foodie.

New Year, New Beginnings

Welcome 2013 and all the amazing things that come with a brand new year!!

When I sit at my table, sipping a cuppa tea, watching the little birds fluttering in my backyard, and the cranes searching for fish in our pond, I can’t help but be filled with peace and wonder. I can’t believe where I am today. I am assured that this new year will be filled with many great things.

Giving Thanks

Thanks golden leaves

There is a lot to be thankful for in this wonderful month of November.

I am surrounded by so much love and support, but sometimes I find my biggest roadblock is myself.

I tend to get in my own way, doubting my abilities, or being impatient with myself. Most of the things I aspire to do are things that take time… lots and lots of arduous time.

In all of these things I have the best husband, family, and friends anyone could ask for. They support me unconditionally, are brutally honest, and truly believe I can become what I aspire to be. I am extremely thankful for their encouragement which continuously gives me the strength to keep chasing my dreams, no matter how far away they may seem.

I also have some exciting things coming at the end of the month that will be opening new chapters in my life. I can only sit back in wonder at what I have been blessed with.

To those who have continued to support all the things I do from BJDs, to art, crafts, food, and writing, THANK YOU!!!!
You make me so excited and hopeful for the future ahead.

Happy Thanksgiving and Creative Crafting Everyone!
