November – Great Pumpkin Search 2014

It’s still fall. The weather is finally cooling down in Florida, and I’m gearing up for the big Thanksgiving feast. There’s still plenty of room for a delicious pumpkin treat.

Here are some more pumpkin things I’ve found.

Etenmann’s Pumpkin Donuts and Pumpkin Loaf Cake.

Etenmanns Pumpkin Donuts

The pumpkin donuts are a bit too sweet and the pumpkin isn’t very strong. I think Dunkin Donut’s pumpkin donuts are better, and have more spice. Still, for a grocery bought donut, these are nice with some coffee. The pumpkin Loaf cake is much better. It’s sweet but still has a light spice and is very moist. This goes well with coffee or tea.

Speaking of tea, I ordered the Stocking Stuffer Set of teas from Adagio Teas. One of the main reasons I purchased this set was for the Pumpkin Spice Tea, however I was very pleased with all the other flavors as well (Chestnut and Gingerbread are my other favorites, though Candy Apple, Candy Cane, and Cranberry taste festive and delicious too). The perfect pick me up on a chilly morning or mid-day.

Another treat that pairs well with coffee or tea is Starbucks Pumpkin Scone. This was amazing. It was moist with rich spices. The sweet icing was a perfect touch.

I must say this is one of my favorite pumpkin finds this year.

If you’re looking for cookies to go with your coffee or tea, try the Pumpkin Spice Oreos. They have a very subtle hint of pumpkin spice, which my husband really liked. To me, they tasted like vanilla cookies with just a hint of spice. I wasn’t too impressed, but someone who maybe isn’t sure if they are totally into pumpkin spice would enjoy them.

The real reason I was let down by the Oreos is because I’ve had amazing cookies. (See my previous post about the Pumpkin Spice Milanos – now those are amazing).

I also found these thin, Moravian Pumpkin Spice Cookies at Barnes and Noble. They are almost like thin ginger snap cookies, but with more pumpkin and spice. I really like these a lot. I ate quite a few the moment I bought them.

Another yummy find was this Spiced Pumpkin Brittle Bite from Wiliams and Sonoma. This is a fun little treat. It’s like peanut brittle only made from pumpkin seeds, with classic pumpkin pie spice blended in. I love pumpkin seeds, so this was a real treat. I can only take it in small bites since it’s very sweet, but I must say I’m glad I found this little item.

There is still more time to find pumpkin delights. I intend to keep up the search until December. For now, I will leave you with these treats.

Have you found any pumpkin items that I haven’t listed? Do you have a yummy pumpkin recipe perfect for fall gatherings? Share your finds in the comments or on facebook, twitter, or pinterest.
